S.p.a.t.s – Bring them back

I see a lot of classic style coming back and I feel s.p.a.t.s are due for one. I bought a pair that are too small for me off e-bay to go over my Beatle Boots but will find some other use for them. They would look great with fitted jeans or a suit and are extremely protective. Now I am on a mission to find a pair that actually fit.

Bring them back, please.

Spring Forward

It dawned on me this year to start buying clothes off season. Not only are they cheaper, but the tailor can really take their time with a piece. Going off many tips from my fellow blog in arms MANSHION (www.manshion.net) I ventured to OVERSTOCK.COM to look for a light suit to get me through Spring and Summer. I was really amazed at the prices but the selection is VERY slim. I was able to find a decent looking unlined oyster colored Poplin suit for just $84.94 after shipping. It will have to be tailored judging by the photos. Here is a look at the stock image:

I always wanted a suit like this for summer and pair it with some driving mocs, pink or green polo, or a white linen shirt and tie.

I will have a follow up post about the quality of the suit, the size accuracy, and the service at overstock.com should I need to return it.

The Comeback Of The Moustache

Clooney looks like Tom Selleck

Clooney looks like Tom Selleck a bit.

We currently live in a divided nation. Not just on issues of race, economy, and politics but also on a serious issue in men’s grooming trends.

The Moustache.

Yesterday I decided to shave off my well kept facial hair in favor of a smooth face and waited to get to my upper lip last. Before my razor met the folicles, I took a look at myself and thought, “Wow. That’s really not bad looking.”

Today at work I have had a mixed bag of reactions. I’ve been called everything from Sigmund Freud, a pedophile, a porn star, even an English Lord. I’ve found that most of the negative comments are coming from women who all seem to think it is representative of a creep.

Gentlemen, I say this to you: If you think something works for you, keep it. The important thing is to do it with taste and elegance.

Let me know what you think and please, be gentle. I’m a sensitive human being! =)

Inaugurating Style

Yes We Did

Yes We Did

Tuesday will be historical because, aside from the obvious reasons, we finally have a man in the White House who doesn’t wear cowboy boots and knows how to get his suits tailored.
