Indochino Review 3
As promised here are some shots of my finished Indochino suit. The suit model is the CHARCOAL GRAY PERFORMANCE SUIT It looks SO much better in real life. And for some reason I look a lot bigger in these shots. The suit is actually very slimming without being tight and uncomfortable. It seems to flow effortlessly with every move I make and the fabric quality is amazing to the touch. Check out the photos and judge for yourself:

So, tailoring was about $100 correct? Looks sharp. More reasons for me to give in and buy an Indochino suit.
“Indochino Charcoal Gray Performance Suit – $372 after tailoring”
Disregard my previous post. I need to learn to read.
Hey Patrick,
The tailoring was $119 in total. You should definitely get one of these suits for your wardrobe. I suggest sticking with a strong classic for your first one (charcoal, navy) and go for the performance suit. It’s a great “first time” Indochino.
All the best,
Dennis Cahlo
Hi, very nice suit and it’s classic, so it won’t go out of style.
You have quite lot experience with Indochino, would you please summarize all tips you have gathered in some next post? For example I would like to know if I should send them my real measures or to lessen them a bit to get a perfect fit.
Thanks
Hey Vladimir,
My tailor told me to take all my actual measurements down 4 inches as the suitmakers will usually leave 4 inches of allowance. That is why my suit originally looked “baggy” to me.
I just ordered a new suit from Indochino using these measurements and will do a full post on it.
All the Best,
Dennis Cahlo
I see that Indochino allows for $75 worth of alteration “credits.” Does this mean they reimbursed you for $75 of the alterations, or did you get some sort of discount on future orders?
Also, I think I read somewhere that if the suit requires more than $100 of alterations they will remake it for free.
Seeing as how you purchased your suit and went through the alteration process, could you give the specifics of the Indochino guarantee? The website isn’t too clear on the process or how the guarantee works.
I know my suit will require alterations because I sent in my actual measurements and am quite sure it will come baggy even though they advertise a slim-fitting suit.
As much as I know about Indochino, Amir, I do not know all of their policies.
They have a great customer service department and I am Sure if you reach out they will provide you with an answer to this question.
Thanks,
Dennis Cahlo
Thanks, I will do that.
I was just wondering if they covered up to $75 of the $119 in alterations per their perfect fit guarantee. And if so, how the logistics of that worked out.
They refunded me $75 of the $119.
Best,
Dennis Cahlo
Great thanks. That’s all I needed to know. I thought because they use the term “credits” it was just money they would apply towards future purchases. Good to know it is a refund.
Glad I could help out!
All the best,
Dennis Cahlo
I was wondering if this suit gets too warm. Everywhere I look I read that polyester is a big no-no, but the Indochino site has some good points about their performance suit that I can’t overlook.
I just recently found your blog. I check it 2 or 3 times a day now. I’ve really been enjoying it. We have a very similar sense of style.
OMG Polyester…… I have no idea why indochino would offer such a product and why people would pay for a polyester suit that doesn’t breathe…
I had my suit remade. They don’t ask much questions for remake.
Recently passed by the My.suit NY while on business in NYC. Not sure if they shipped to Canada, but I get the feeling that the customer service level (if and only if things go wrong) isn’t that great.
I actually went to a Master Tailor (true old world Italian guy in Toronto, Canada), and he basically told me for a proper alteration, he’d charge me $200.
I know a regular dry clean tailor would have done it within the $75 credit, but I don’t want an okay fit, I want a PERFECT fit, and without taking the entire suit apart, bandage solution alterations will look dumb.
Indochino gladly remade my suit to my specifications, no questions asked. Even after the 14=day remake policy and 30 day alteration policy, the vest didnt fit well, so I had them remake that, which is happening as we speak.
So Im telling you, the suit might not be perfect the first time, but the Customer response after the suit is made is why I’ll probably choose Indochino over My.Suit New York, despite the fact that at My.Suit store in NYC, they will measure for you, rather than Indochinos measure yourself.
