The Ad Hoc Collar Stay

Contributor and fellow office mate Kevin Finke needed a paper clip last week. Pretty unremarkable, yeah?

Actually, it was the contrary because he didn’t use it for the usual purpose of holding precious documents together. It was an improvisational answer to the problem of a missing collar stay. He requested a rubber one, I obliged, and his uneven collar now was in perfect shape.

The key rules are to make sure they are the rubber made clips (the metal makes will tear your collar apart) and that they are also large enough to get out of your collar tab.
