GQ Slide Show – Chris Pine

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. I’ve been stuck home since Thursday with a terrible cough and fever but am finally on the mend and ready to venture out of the apartment. One positive thing about whatever flu bug I had is that it forced me to quit smoking.

A good sickbed companion was the new GQ Magazine that arrived  in my mailbox which has a great layout of Chris Pine (go see Star Trek…it’s awesome) in some breezy summer gear. My favorite is the Uniqlo suit he’s sporting below for only $160 (probs more like $220 after tailoring…stilll…it’s nice). More reason for me to get better and hit up Uniqlo on Prince Street tomorrow for some Sunday morning shopping. Anyone want to join?

  1. I’ve become really fond of Uniqlo over the past several months. I’ve not progressed to a full suit as of yet, but they’re putting out perhaps the finest affordable basics around

I agree. I find their cuts and fabrics a bit more quality than H&M as well. I’m looking forward to getting there early tomorrow. There’s nothing like Sunday morning in Soho.

Ugh. Funnily enough I was shopping in Soho on Prince Street last Sunday, although not by choice (dragged by some friends). Stopped by TopMan for the first time. Soho has great shopping but it’s always so packed there I find it insufferable to walk anywhere. It’s like the sidewalks narrow to half of their normal width and everyone decides to walk half as fast and side-by-side. It’s like that every day though, not just Sundays. Getting there early is probably key – was it still super busy?

      Hey there,

I could not agree with you more about how disgustingly crowded Broadway gets in that neighborhood. It’s a tourist trap and everyone seems to do the walk and stop (walk. stop. look at pretty buildings. walk stop. forget people are behind them trying to get somewhere).

Going early on Sunday was more tolerable. I think if it wasn’t for Memorial Day it would have been even quieter.

      All the best,
      Dennis

Oh man…that’s a real damn shame. When I went there they only had size L and XL left. Picked up some other nice items that I will be posting later this week. My favorite is a pair of lightweight summer jeans. They fit real nice.

    All the best,
    Dennis Cahlo
