Fred Perry Oversized Tipped Polo
We really should have seen this coming ages ago. They started sneaking into American men’s wardrobes and slowly started to replace the standard Ralph Lauren, LL Bean, or Nike polo that had been worn to death.
Being a huge fan of Fred Perry for many years and touching upon my previous post about their seemingly indestructible form, a few close friends and myself decided to look into what was cooking at the Fred Perry store here in NYC this past Friday.
As you open the laurel emblazoned door handles, you are greeted with rows upon rows of beautifully colored FP polos, pull ups, sneakers, vests, shorts, and much more. The attractive staff even had some fall goodies out being prepared for the new season.
As usual the choices were over whelming but a beautiful piece caught my eye and, as you can see below, it’s wonderful.Sure, the price tag was more than I would ever pay for a polo but these shirts mean a lot more to me than just fabric. They are an institution that I am happy to be obsessed with.
