Year In Review: Favorite Suit Of 2009
I never owned a fail proof, go to suit before this year. I always rotate, rotate, rotate until I have the spins.
It is with no surprise that my favorite suit of 2009 came from my brethren over at INDOCHINO in the form of the NAVY PERFORMANCE SUIT. This suit was my first purchase using their full customization offer and I have to say it is by far my favorite suit purchase of 2009.
Why? Because it is versatile, masculine, and fool proof as all hell. The blazer can be worn as a separate as well as the pants. It can be done up for work, a dinner with the lady, or a night out. This is my North By Northwest power suit.
I even went for classic trimmings all around so it will never look dated…even when I am.

Dennis,
Well said my friend. I just received an email from Indochino about two hours ago regarding my measurements. Somehow they’ve gotten the wrong measurements on three parts. I reviewed them and they were correct online. Maybe they read it wrong. I replied back to them via email with the correct measurements.
I am anxiously waiting for the Navy Suit that I ordered from them. I hope that the Navy Suit will hold up as well as your Navy Performance Suit.
Oh on another note, I have decided that I will document my “well dressed journey” via WordPress. I will also be posting, as you and Manshion do, on dressing on a budget with what Chicago has to offer.
Cheers,
Rufino
Awesome, Rufino! Please let me know when it is up.
All the best,
Dennis
Looking forward to it, Rufino.
I have an Indochino Navy Performance Suit and I love it too. I’d have to say my favorite part of the Indochino experience are their shirts though. Maybe it’s just custom shirts in general, but as a tall, slender man, I hate buying off the shelf shirts now. I seem to be accumulating more Indochino suits than I need to get my hands on their 2x free shirts deals
Keep up the good work!
You said it man. The two free shirts deal with a suit just makes sense. Two shirts (about $198) and a suit ($299 for the performance suits)… It’s like paying $200 for a suit and $50 each shirt. Can’t beat that. Still hoping that I get my Navy Suit before Christmas. =) Did you use Dennis’ measurement tips?
Got my Fedex notification for my Indochino suit and 2 shirts yesterday, just 6 days after I placed my order. Can’t wait to crack open the box when it arrives in a couple of days.
Yeah, I used Dennis’ measuring tips for the most part. A few of the more radical size reductions I didn’t do 100%, but I’m sure they would work OK.
It looks like my delivery date is the 21st…very excited! Hope you’re happy with your suit!
